Ciudad Constitucion to La Paz

Ciudad Constitucion at junction with paved road to San Carlos.
Palacio Municial (city hall) on left.
Turn left for La Capilla de San Javier, (.5 Miles), a large shrine built in the shape of a five-pointed star.
Dirt road west to Campestre La Pila RV Park, (.8 miles).
Villa Morelos, a farming community with cafes, small markets, public phone and a bus stop.
Dirt road east to El Ihugil Dam (24 km) and Mission San Luis Gonzaga (42 km) - high clearance vehicle needed.
Santa Rita, a town with cafes, a bus stop and charming church on the east side of the highway. A dirt road west leads to Puerto Chale on Bahia Almejas.
Flanked by yacca, this colorful shrine, constructed from concrete and tile, is dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe, patron saint of Mexico.
Las Pocitas, a small town with a clinic, bus stop, cafes.
El Cien, a town with cafes, stores and Pemex and possibly diesel.
Probably the most photographed and unique shrine in the form of a white cement cardon cactus.
Pullout near a shrine and nearby restaurant offers a scenic view of La Paz.

Agricultural fruit fly control station. Southbound travelers are usually not inspected.
Junction with paved road to San Juan de la Costa, a phosphorus mining settlement.
Oasis Los Aripez RV park in El Centernario, a community with stores, markets, restaurant and topes.
Junction with paved road to La Paz airport.
Junction at the "Dove of Peace"monument. Dedicated to the Port of La Paz in 1990, this handsome sculpture features the bird of peace in flight which also forms a tail of a whale.
If directly bound for Los Cabos, veer to the right for "Libramiento" shortcut around central La Pax. To reach downtown La Paz along the malecon, take the left fork along the coast which turns into Calzada Abasolo, then Paseo Alvaro Obregon.
Turn left for Marina Fidepaz and Crowne Plaza Resort. Turn right for Los Cabos. Just past the intersection, on the right-hand side of the highway, is the Baja Califronia Sur State Toursim Office. Tourist information and assistance is available here as well as at the Malecon office in town near the wharf.
Turnoff to Club Casa Blanca RV park on the corner.
El Cardon RV park on the right, Pemex with diesel on the left.
La Pas at the intersection of Calzada Abasolo and Blvd. Luis D Colsio. Turn right for Los Cabos. Continue straight ahead for the Malecon, Marinas, Pichilingue ferry terminal and famous white sand beaches.
