Chateau Camou

Hosted, "Romantic Sunset" for the wine harvest festivals, on Saturday August 17, 2013 at 6:00PM, with Romantic Music Concert with stellar presentation of Carlos Cuevas, the king of the bolero and Macedonia, Queen of interpretation. Done at sunset in the unique context of the geography of the vineyards of Chateau Camou. Accompanied by the incomparable delicious snacks and house wines.

The winery makes wine with artistic creativity producing superior examples of French style wine grown and blended on Mexican terroir.

Chateau Camou offers several wine tasting tours to visitors.

CLARET: tour the winery (25-30 min), wine tasting at the end of the tour (3 wines from our “Flor de Guadalupe” label and 1 of our “Chateau Camou” label) . $5.00 Keep the glass..

BOREAUX: tour the winery (25-30 min), wine tasting at the end of the tour (3 wines from our “Flor de Guadalupe” label , 2 of our “Chateau Camou” label and our dessert wine “El Gran Divino”). $10.00  Keep the glass.

And a MAGNUM*: tour with winemaker and/or owner. Tour the vineyards (15-20 mins), tour the winery with a comprehensive tasting of our wines, including barrel sampling (35-40 mins). Lunch at the end of the tour with your choice of paella, quails, ostrich or carne asada. (glass of wine included w/lunch) $40.00

FOR A MAGNUM TOUR, A 15 DAY IN ADVANCE APPOINTMENT IS NEEDED AND 50% DOWN PAYMENT IS REQUIRED.  A MINIMUM OF 10 PERSONS GROUP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PACKAGE.

Chateau Camou gets its winemaking philosophy and passion from Bordeaux, France. The winemaker, Dr. Victor Torres, holds a Ph.D. in Oenology from the University of Bordeaux and gained experience working at Chateau Margaux, a prestigious French "first growth" winery., one of France’s first growth-premier crus (The Medoc) from the original 1855 classification of great wines. Founded in 1985, Torres and his business partner Fernando Favela  the executive director, "We consider the best wines come from France. That is the taste we like the most."
